Front and Center City
Rodin Square is an exciting mixed‑use project in the heart of downtown Philadelphia that is anchored by a flagship Whole Foods Market for which MV+A was the interior architect. The project features a myriad of uses including a luxury residential high‑rise tower featuring floor to ceiling windows and upgraded amenities. Apartments are contained within an elegant Z‑shaped nine‑story form, simple in window pattern yet elegantly detailed.
The residential section includes 12,000 square feet of amenity areas and a nearly one‑acre roof terrace featuring dramatic views of the city skyline. Along with Whole Foods, there is additional retail that includes a pharmacy, a bank, and an outpatient facility for a local hospital. The street retail uses a generous number of storefronts that, along with the blends of warm brick tones, allows the retail spaces to engage the street and sidewalk users in a friendly way.
Rodin Square also includes below‑grade and above‑grade structured parking (five tiers) totaling 490 spaces. The above‑grade parking is clad in perforated metal panels of varying colors that add dramatic visual interest to the mass.
