Rising in Reston
Halley Rise (formerly known as Reston Crescent), is a 36-acre site adjacent to the Silver Line’s Reston Town Center Metro station. Currently under construction, the development transforms two existing office buildings with surface parking into a densely populated, mixed-use, transit-oriented development.
The Farm at Halley Rise, a .4-acre farm located within the development boundaries, boasts over 30 vegetable, herb, and fruit crops, as well as two beehives, a native flower garden, a raingarden and a pollinator meadow. The Farm, which serves as a community gathering space, helps to provide harvests for the Edmund community to enjoy, including thousands of pounds of produce donated to local food security organizations each year. More than 400 pounds of produce have already been donated since the Farm was planted in 2021.
